RECIPE BY: Richard aka LaReeRee

2 cups white bread flour
1 tablespoon Royal Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup chakalaka (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup grated Clover cheese (cheddar or any Clover cheese of your choice)
1/2 cup diced ham
1/2 cup diced mushrooms
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup Clover fresh milk
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, paprika, cumin, turmeric, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs lightly, then mix in the olive oil and milk.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chakalaka, grated cheese, diced ham, diced mushrooms, chopped parsley, and green onions until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice and serve your chakalaka bread with mushrooms, cheese, and ham.
