Phillip’s Hyper Realistic Steak and Chips

STEAK AND CHIPS

Chocolate cake

45 ml cacao
80ml boiling water
159g Clover butter
250ml sugar
3 eggs
500ml cake flour
15 ml Royal Baking Powder
⁠3 ml baking soda
3 ml salt
⁠25o ml Clover plain yoghurt
⁠110g of toffee chocolate cut into chunks




Cake Method:

  1. Mix cocoa and boiling water together
  2. ⁠add all dry ingredients into mixing bowl
  3. ⁠cream sugar and butter together and add eggs one at a time until fully combined.
  4. ⁠now add the cocoa mixture and blend.
  5. ⁠add all dry ingredients and fold in gently until combined.
  6. ⁠add yoghurt and fold in. And mix the chocolate chunks into the mixture.
  7. ⁠put mixture into a prepare baking tray.
  8. ⁠bake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven in 180 degrees Celsius.
  9. Now remove from oven and let it cool down before you remove it from baking tray.
  10. After removing from tray, cut or mild into desired shape (or steak shape). Sandwich two moose’s pieces with ganache or buttercream of choice. Cover completely.
  11. Roll out a piece of fondant and colour with  brown colouring. You can add different shades after the cake is covered. Cover the molded pieces of steak (cake) and now you can add shades and texture according to your preference.


Chips:

For the chips you can make butter cookies and oven bake it for 10 minutes. But make sure you cut or roll out the dough into shoes of fries.

 

125g Clover unsalted butter
⁠1 cup sugar}⁠2 cups cake flour
⁠1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  1. In a mixer combine all ingredients until just combined.
  2. Take out and cover in cling wrap. Let it rest for 39 minutes.
  3. Now take out of fridge and roll out the dough.
  4. Cut into shapes of fries.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes on 189 degrees.
  6. Take it out and let it cool completely.
