Beef & Cheddar Focaccia Sandwich

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 pieces store-bought focaccia-style bread (about 8–10 cm each) 
  • 200 g beef fillet, thinly sliced 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 1 tbsp Clover Olive Pride Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste 
  • 50 g Clover white cheddar, Sliced
  • 4–6 pickles, sliced lengthwise (gherkin or dill pickles work well) 
  • Optional: mustard or aioli for extra flavor 
  • Clover Salted Butter 
  • Letucce
  • tomatoes

METHOD

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the beef fillet slices, season with salt and black pepper, and cook until just browned and tender (about 3–4 minutes depending on thickness). 2. Prep the Focaccia: 
  4. Slice your focaccia horizontally.
  5. Optional: lightly toast the bread with butter or a bit of olive oil in a pan for
  6. Add lettuce and slices of tomato.
  7. Layer the cooked garlic beef on the bottom half of each focaccia. 
  8. Top with slices or shreds of white cheddar.
  9. Place pickles on top of the cheese.
  10. Optional: spread mustard or aioli on the top half of the bread.
